On Facebook, the Save video option doesn't download anything to your phone: it just adds the video to the Saved section of your account. If you want the video as a file, to watch it without internet or send it on WhatsApp, you have to download it. With Velotu it takes less than a minute.
Step by step
- Open the video or reel in the Facebook app.
- Tap Share and choose Copy link.
- Go to velotu.com/en/facebook in your browser.
- Paste the link and tap Download.
- Pick a quality: HD for the best picture or SD if you prefer a smaller file.
Facebook Video Downloader – Videos and Reels in HD →
Works with
- Facebook Reels (facebook.com/reel/… links).
- Videos from Pages and public profiles.
- Short fb.watch links and links from the mobile site (m.facebook.com).
- Live videos that have ended and stayed posted as a public video.
Doesn't work with
- Videos from private groups or from profiles that only share with friends.
- Videos the creator has deleted.
Why isn't my video in HD?
Velotu downloads the versions Facebook stores for the video. If the creator uploaded it in low resolution, or Facebook only keeps an SD version, there's no HD copy to download. When there is one, we list it first.
Where to find the downloaded video
